Today was a blast: we took the phrase "a day of rest" quite literally! After sleeping in too late (I'm not going to say when), Mathew and I got around to enjoy a sermon that he had on itunes from when Dan Dubach came to Bern the week before Caleb and Bethany's wedding.
Matt was quite avid about going out and enjoying the day as it was really nice. Sixty-one and sunny doesn't happen too often during September in Prague. When he went out to enjoy the day through a short jog, I enjoyed it by opening our wall of windows and letting the sun shine in on me while I enjoyed being connected to the internet.
Being the caring, kind, considerate, thoughful, (continue with synonyms here) roommate that I try to be, I had a hot meal waiting for us when Matt returned. By making rice and warming a frozen package of Thai vegetables, we enjoyed the closest thing we've had to "home-made" in Prague.
Around four we tuned into Bern to listen to the morning church service. We were excited to hear our ministers again, but were pleasantly suprised to hear Earl Ringger preach instead. Between services, we dined on hot dogs and apples, a typical meal in Dorm B116.
To pose as a filler, here are some more pictures from our few days in Moravia.
This is the Goat Castle. We're not sure why it's named this, but we enjoyed the hike up to see it. It wasn't as much of a castle as a square stone building, but I guess the Goat Square Stone Building won't attract as many tourists as the Goat Castle will. There wern't any goats, either.
Here is the path that we walked on to get up to the monestary overlooking the town. It was set high on a hill at the edge of the town. The walk started out looking like this, then turned into a rough, rocky path as the soil progressed into a tundra of stone.
Watching the sun set on the monestary was beautiful as evident in the picture and made it well worth the hike up to see it.
