Recent Happenings

So, for my (Brady's) first blog post, I'm going to be real boring. Matt figured out how we can add more than just a few photos to this site, so I will be uploading pictures all night so we can put them on a slide show for you to see more than just one or two.

Yesterday was a big day for us. The things troubling us most (besides money) all got taken care of: we finally stocked our dorm with food, we got our public transit passes, and we got the wireless internet hooked up. Now we're basically settled in.

This week is our orientation week. We spent a majority of our day yesterday standing in lines waiting for help to get our ID cards for school and for help getting the internet set up (they make it MUCH more complicated than it should be).
Today we had to be up there by 11 (rough, I know). We sat through a Cultural History of the Czech Lands lecture that was pretty interesting, especially the parts about WWII and communism in Czech Republic (it wasn't until 1993 that the market economy was established).

For supper this evening, we met up with Clint Meyer at a restaurant, then spent the evening walking around the city (the first time we have at night) seeing most of the sights in a different light.

Check back again tomorrow (hopefully) for some pictures...lots of pictures!
